RED BIKE LEADER (dot com)

www.REDBIKELEADER.com

It’s the new thing!

When I started my blog (http://ryan.russell5.com) less than a year ago, I only had a rough idea of what I wanted to do – very experimental! As the months and posts have passed, I think I have a clue and thus, a brand new website for the articles and content. Check it out and stay connected.

*** My blog will continue to exist, but it will become the home of personal updates in my own leadership life, random thoughts and at times, possibly interesting debates. OR it could die from a lack of interest on my part to maintain it… not that anyone has ever done that with their blog before.

the week in pictures

While we were in Seattle the boys stayed with some good friends of ours. They took some nice photos, so check out ”the week in pictures” if you are so inclined. I don’t think they missed us very much – looks like they had lots of fun, though.

Seattle revisited

Jen & I are in the midst of enjoying Seattle over her birthday week, meeting the leaders from CEA, hanging with Dean & Leslie, visiting family and I am preaching at Pathways on Sunday. (As i write it, this sounds a lot busier than it feels) We love Seattle. However, our love is very possibly based on an allusion. This is our 4th time here since we have been married. Each and every time we are here the weather has been incredible, sunny and inviting. This week, as we are told, is one of the best weeks that they have experienced here in quite a long time. Yesterday we enjoyed a sunny afternoon lunch of clam chowder and a clam cheddar melt at The Fisherman’s Restaurant & Bar on pier 57 then checked into the Westin where our room on the 25th floor has great view of Lake Union. Last night we walked and window shopped around the city finally arriving at The Virginia Inn, eating dinner street side. This morning Jen is sleeping in while i am walking the city and working from Caffe D’ Arte which has a view of the sound. Life is rough!

*** have you ever seen a lady shave her face? evidently the lady outside in very conscientious of her facial hair; she is taking great pains to make sure she doesn’t shave it off in front of passers by but has forgotten that people inside might be able to see through the BIG, clear picture window.
