I am sure that Jen will add more, but here are some quick pics from the RUSSELL5 Christmas. We got a “family” gift of a Wii – Jen likes it as much as any of us

We went to the beach (of course) and got our traditional wear of “Jacks’ Surfboard” t’s.

We stayed with Grandpa & Grandma Carter (John & Sharon) and enjoyed our time with the rest of the Carter family. The boys especially enjoy playing with the cousins.

well….. it was sorta Tucson. Actually it was the Mt. Lemmon mountain range. We went to Tucson with the Moores for Kristen’s graduation from UofA. When we first met the Moores, Kristen was in 7th grade and I became her JH pastor. Now she is a young woman and prepared to be a JH science teacher. Saturday we went to the mountains together down there and had a GREAT day! Al, Mae & their family are great friends.

There are a few VERY important milestones in becoming a man in the Russell household (swimming, wrestling with dad, boxing with brothers, climbing the wall in the back yard) but there isn’t one more important than learning to ride your bike on two wheels. Elias has been working on this for the last couple of weeks and PROUDLY I am ready to certify him in this very important area. I know you are asking what the “test” is… Saturday, he passed the ‘test’ which is riding around the block, non-stop mind you, with his brothers, dad and shivering cold mom. YEA ELIAS! That’s my boy!

From a very young age, Elias has said the funniest things – whether or not he knows it’s funny, we can’t help but be amused. You’ll likely remember how he used to say ’sucker’ with an ‘f’ in place of the ’s’. Ryan had more fun with that one than any of us. So here’s another cute one – Elias and Ethan were playing dress up the other day when Elias asked Ethan ‘what superhero name should I give my dragon costume?’ Ethan answered – ‘how about “Superhero”?’ Elias’ response – ‘No, that’s not DELICIOUS!’ I’m not sure what word he actually meant to use there, but I found it adorably ‘delicious’.
